Course Description:
Time management is an issue that plagues the best of us. How do we get done all we need to accomplish in our day? We’ve all heard how important it is to set goals and work to achieve them. But life gets in the way. Whether you are dealing with those strategic initiatives at work or trying to achieve an important personal goal, understanding how to effectively focus is vital. In today’s world, we easily get caught up in “putting out fires” and the myriad of activities that come in a day. But in the end, where does it get us if we never get to work towards our goals?
And what about actually achieving those goals? If you are one of the 5% of people that have actually written down your goals, do you find it easy to stay focused on achieving them? There are many barriers that get in our way when we set out to do something.
In this course, we’ll go over the key components of effective time management and goal setting. We’ll also discuss the even deeper issue of why so few of us actually achieve what we want. The course uses extensive exercises to get you thinking about the issues and working on your plan. The concepts discussed in this course are effective for setting and achieving professional or organizational goals, as well as, personal goals.
