Course Description:
The objective of the course is to enhance your understanding of Capital Expenditures and Capital Budgets and to apply strategies for planning effective and efficient Capital Improvements Programs. Information will be presented on the State of Texas Capital Expenditure Plan and Budget and on ways of Financing Capital Budget Items.

Who should attend:
INSTRUCTOR - Sherri Greenberg
Ms Greenberg currently teaches graduate students at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.
Prior to teaching at the LBJ School, she served ten years in the Texas House of Representatives where she chaired the House Pensions and Investments Committee and the Select Committee on Teacher Health Insurance. She also served two terms on the House Appropriations Committee. She is the author of the legislation requiring and specifying the State of Texas Capital Expenditure Plan. She also served on the Major Information Subcommittee, which had responsibility for all Year 2000 issues for the State of Texas. Prior to serving in the Texas Legislature, Ms. Greenberg was Capital Finance Manager of the City of Austin.
