Course Description:
This one day seminar will provide you with a new understanding of ways to lead, regain control, and more effectively influence others. Monica Scamardo, MS, PsyD, will help you understand the connection between what you think and what you do. She will lead you through strategies that move you from reaction to constructive, influential responses in a leadership context.
Dr. Scamardo applies research-based behavioral and workplace principles to leadership and organizational challenges. She understands how today’s fast-paced work environments raise stress levels and ignite emotions; resulting in a display of reactions that can undermine a leader’s success or career advancement.
Building on Dr. Scamardo’s expertise, you will learn how to apply practical strategies for anticipating and addressing challenges you face in your workplace.
At the end of this seminar, you will create and take away a personalized action plan for managing your reactions and achieving leadership success!

INSTRUCTOR - Monica Scamardo, MS, PsyD
Dr. Monica Scamardo is the founder and president of Variate, a consulting company specializing in organizational and people development. Monica holds undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in psychology with specializations working with organizational systems and diverse populations. Her area of expertise is applying research-based behavioral and workplace principles to organizational challenges which enable strategic and measurable change. Monica works with individual clients, teams, and organizations. She consults with and coaches employees and leaders on organizational challenges, communication, change management, and leadership development.
Monica also works with the faculty and staff of The University of Texas at Austin, Work Life Services & Employee Assistance Program within Human Resource Services.
• Who should attend: Concepts addressed in this course are appropriate for leaders and managers who have the responsibility of managing people, processes, and projects. This seminar will provide practical help for those who want to examine and improve their ability to communicate, influence, and lead others.
